New Spring Fund is rebooting
Following recent unforeseen personal events myself and David have found ourselves unable to continue in our roles as Secretary and Treasurer of New Spring Fund. This unfortunate series of events is happening at a crucial time for NSF. We were on our way to expand our reach to Europe which would have brought us closer to our original aim of enabling NSF to receive tax efficient donations on behalf of our Partner Charities from donors in the US, UK and 18 other European countries! Meanwhile our Board does not have the capacity to help us with the operational side of NSF nor to find replacements.
We, therefore, have to cease New Spring Fund’s charitable activities within the next few weeks.
However, we learnt a lot in the process of getting NSF up and running over the last three years and we strongly believe that unmet needs remain. Simona Florio the coordinator of the Healthy Living Club, one of the nine Charities we had the chance to partner with, puts it like this:
"The New Spring Fund's emphasis on Resilience was unique, and I still feel that there is an international community of potential donors who would find the idea of improving the self-sufficiency of small communities appealing, regardless of whether or not they are local to them."
Therefore it is not the end, just a new beginning.
We are taking a step back and reboot to morph into something that is more useful to you. We found that overall Charities gain more by getting individualised support to identify what best suit their medium-term needs and how to integrate these international “add ons" into their current fundraising strategy so it complements it cost-effectively.
